With the Clear Ice Box Big Cubes, you can make 6 ice cubes which are approx. 5 x 5 x 5 cm. With the Clear Ice Box Spears, you can make 3 ice spears which are approx. 13.5 x 3.5 x 3.5 cm.
The dimensions of the insulation box including the inserted mould are 20.6 x 15.4 x 11.5 cm (L x W x H).
Turbidities mainly form in the lowest part of the ice. The smart chamber system separates this part from the clear part of the ice when the mould is removed. In addition, the insulation and the carefully designed shape of the Clear Ice Box enable a particularly consistent freezing process. This greatly reduces the turbidities and irregularities.
For best results, care should be taken to ensure high water quality. In addition, the quality can be increased by using warm water, as this slows down the freezing process and an even more uniform ice structure can be achieved.
The ice production consists of four simple steps: 1. Place the filling mould in the insulation box and fill it with water. 2. Place the ice cube or ice spear mould flat on the filling mould and press it down evenly. 3. Put the box in the freezer or ice compartment. 4. When the water is completely frozen, the ice cube mould can be removed with clear ice. A video tutorial is available here.
This depends largely on the freezer used and other ambient conditions. Standard periods are between 14 and 24 hours.
We recommend temperatures of approx. -14 °C to -12 °C.
For easier removal, it is recommended to let the ice thaw briefly.
The insulation box is made of coated EPP (expanded polypropylene). EPP is 100% recyclable and easy to clean. The filling mould as well as the cube and ice spear moulds are made of premium silicone. The flexible material is extremely resistant and makes it easier to remove the ice.
Currently, the moulds are not available individually. Each set contains an insulation box, a filling mould and a mould for ice cubes OR spears.
